Vipasha Bansal joined Keio University Law School as an Associate Professor in April 2018, after teaching as an adjunct lecturer since April 2017.

Vipasha holds an LL.M from Columbia Law School (2014), where she was a Fulbright Scholar. At Columbia she was named James Kent Scholar and received the Edwin Parker Prize for excellence in the study of international and comparative law. She qualified as a solicitor of England & Wales in 2013, after training with Linklaters LLP, and completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC, 2009) and Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL, 2008) at the College of Law in London. Prior to that, she graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London, 2006) with BA in Economics and Politics, with First Class Honors.

Before moving to Japan in 2016, Vipasha worked at the World Bank's Legal Vice Presidency in Washington D.C. She continues to work on law and development issues with different public and private sector organizations.

At the Law School, Vipasha teaches International Law and International Organizations, and co-teaches Japanese Law (State and Citizen) and Globalization and Human Rights in Asia.
